Prof. Dr. Hassan Elbarrawy is a professor and the Head of the Civil Law Department, Faculty of Law at Cairo University.
Prof. Dr. Elbarrawy has substantial hands-on experience, as well as provided numerous legal consultations, in the fields of construction law and contracts, compensation and liability issues, corporate law, communications and informational technology, sports activity disputes, real estate projects, intellectual property, as well as insurance.He has an expansive experience in the drafting of civil and commercial contracts. He also gave legal consultations in a number of arbitration cases. Additionally, he presented several legal training programs for legal professionals in Egypt as well as internationally.
On an academic level,He holds a Ph.D. in Private Law from Cairo University (A joint supervision with the University of Paris I / Sorbonne, France). He holds a certificate in Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) ( Org. HQ in Italy),Prof. Dr. Elbarrawy has published more than 40 peer-reviewed research papers and academic journals in diverse settings ,including; mediation, contracts, civil liability, comparative studies, construction contracts, insurance, women’s rights and family law, protection of private life, sports law, as well as labor law. He also has a series of books that explicate the provisions of civil law, which began with the publication of several books on the general theory of obligations; part I: source of obligations and part II: effect of obligations and on contracts; part I sales; part II lease agreement; and part III: insurance contracts
